Music Meets Runway launched in 2011 at the prestigious Eko hotel Expo Hall Lagos Nigeria. Never been done before Le Reve Events ran by Jennifer Olize; fused the ultimate mix of music and fashion on the runway.

With never seen before artists like Davido who made his stage debut on the Music Meets Runway Stage. Femi kuti, Wizkid, Burna Boy, Tuface, Dbanj, Tiwa savage, Banky W, and so much more have all graced the MMR stage. Fashion legends like Deola Sageo, Lanre Da Silva Ajayi, Mai Atafo, David Thale from South Africa, Alex Wek, Millen Magese, Angela Simmons are only a few of the names to be part of this amazing event.

In 2014 Music Meets Runway officially rebranded to MMR Africa. This change occurred due to the fact that the event grew across African countries and made waves all over the world. MMR Africa decided to infuse other African countries and talents from around the globe.
