In 2011, Music Meets Runway (MMR) launched at the biggest event center Eko Hotel Expo Hall in Lagos Nigeria with over 5000 guests in attendance. Never been done before ran by Creative Entrepreneur and philanthropist Jennifer Olize; The fusion of Music, Fashion & Models on one runway became an instant great hit.
With never seen before artists like Davido who made his stage debut on the Music Meets Runway Stage then gained instant stardom!
Music Legends like WIZKID, Naeto C, Sasha P, Duncan Mighty, Dr Sid, Sound Sultan & Banky W performed.

In 2012, The Music Meets Runway event took place in Lagos, Nigeria At the Largest Event Venue, Eko Hotel. It was completely SOLD OUT! Filled with Super Star Celebrities & dignitaries.
International Superstar D’banj and International Super Model Humanitarian Millen Magese hosted this Edition Called “The New Era Of Music & Fashion” With performances from WIZKID, BURNA BOY, D’banj, Iyanya, Cynthia Morgan, Mr May Dee and so much more.
Fashion Legend Lanre Da Silva Ajayi was the grande finale, who dazzled the runway and crowd with breath taking designs showcased by international supermodels strutting the runway alongside D’banj performing . It was one word to describe it “SPECTACULAR”!
In 2014 Music Meets Runway officially rebranded to MMR AFRICA this change occurred due to the fact that the event grew across African countries and made waves all over the world. MMR AFRICA decided to infuse other African countries and talents from around the globe.
Designers like KikiRomeo from Kenya and Nedquik from South Africa Showcased at the event. Hit sensation Souti Soul From Kenya And Victoria Kamani from Kenya were flown into Host City Lagos State, Nigeria performing their hit singles at the ground breaking event. Nigerian Superstars Patronking, Seyi Shay performed with a special grand finale from International Superstar WIZKID, who trilled the crowd!
